Saint Laurent Pamphlet
Inspired by Eric Wilson’s article "Channeling the Codes of Saint Laurent", I designed this pamphlet as a concise overview of Saint Laurent’s Spring 2013 runway show. On October 1, 2012, Hedi Slimane, the brand’s creative director, presented his debut women’s ready-to-wear collection. Slimane’s collection blended boldness, modernity, sophistication, and rock-and-roll energy while staying true to the core codes of Saint Laurent.
The design of the pamphlet reflects these qualities, using a signature black-and-white color palette, dramatic imagery inspired by the collection, and clean-cut typography. The layout is a visual representation of the runway experience: layered folds mirror the anticipation, evolution, and final reveal of a fashion show. With each unfolding, the viewer is gradually introduced to Slimane’s vision for Saint Laurent—culminating in a striking full reveal.
